EasyAR Mega now supports spatial mapping with structured E57 data. For projects with existing professional scans, this creates a new direction for their spatial assets: moving from documenting a place to building content and interactions within it.
Bring spatial assets into AR
Eligible E57 data can be uploaded to the Mega cloud to generate a Mega Block for localization and AR content deployment. Projects in museums, commercial spaces and campuses can explore tours, navigation and interactive experiences around their spatial data.
A digital record of a place is a starting point. We see an opportunity for these assets to connect places with people, helping developers organize content around real environments and make the stories within them easier to discover.
From upload to onsite experience
Create a laser acquisition task in the EasyAR Developer Center, select E57 and upload the file. Mapping starts automatically after upload. Once mapping succeeds, review the mapping report and spatial model, continue with content development, and validate the experience onsite.
Check your data before you begin
Support applies to structured E57 files containing point clouds, panoramic images and corresponding poses. Point-cloud-only E57 files cannot be used for Mega mapping. Review the data requirements first and assess suitability through onsite validation.
Already have spatial scans? Start by checking your E57 data and explore its next possibility in AR.
